The altcoin market saw sharp moves in the past 24 hours, with a handful of smaller-cap tokens posting double-digit gains while others gave up nearly a third of their value. Trading volume tells much of the story here — some of the biggest price jumps came alongside massive spikes in activity, a sign that real money is flowing in, while other moves happened on comparatively thin volume, which can mean the price swing is less reliable. Below is a breakdown of today’s top five gainers and top five losers, based on the latest 24-hour data.
IOST (IOST) was the standout performer of the day, climbing from $0.0008749 to $0.001443, a gain of +64.94%. This move came with an enormous jump in trading activity, with volume rising +598.13% to reach $335,279,130. That kind of volume surge alongside a near-65% price gain suggests strong buying interest is backing this rally, rather than a thin, low-liquidity spike.
VeThor (VTHO) also had a huge day, jumping from $0.0004445 to $0.0006929, up +55.90%. Volume exploded even harder here, up +3,411.87% to $67,098,990. A volume increase of that scale is rare and reinforces that this price move attracted a genuine wave of new trading interest.
STONK (STONK) rose from $0.1505 to $0.1968, a gain of +30.72%. Trading volume also picked up meaningfully, rising +53.04% to $104,789,143, which adds some weight to the move even though the volume increase was more modest than the previous two coins.
Memory cow Moo (MOO) gained +26.23%, moving from $0.0266 to $0.0335. Volume rose a modest +17.62% to $7,207,435, meaning this jump happened on relatively light trading activity compared with the size of the price move, so it’s worth watching whether buying interest continues.
Ape and Pepe (APEPE) rounds out the list with a +21.85% gain, rising from $0.00000119 to $0.00000145. Notably, volume actually fell here, down -4.80% to $10,142,662, so this price gain came on light volume rather than a fresh wave of buying.
4Stock (4STOCK) led the losers, falling from $0.0518 to $0.0293, a drop of -43.51%. This decline came alongside a sharp pullback in trading, with volume down -75.04% to $53,941,788. A falling price paired with shrinking volume suggests fading interest rather than a rush of new sellers.
Orbio.so (ORBIO) dropped from $0.0351 to $0.0234, down -33.25%. Volume also declined, down -18.89% to $4,916,536, another case of a big price drop happening on relatively light trading activity.
Audiera (BEAT) slid from $0.1265 to $0.0882, a loss of -30.29%. Volume ticked up here, rising +35.32% to $6,155,440, a moderate increase that suggests some active selling accompanied the drop, though it wasn’t an extreme volume spike.
LAB (LAB) fell from $0.0677 to $0.0494, down -27.09%. Trading volume was essentially flat, up just +0.73% to $7,673,266, meaning this decline happened without any real change in market participation.
A Meme Coin (AMC) closes out the losers list, dropping from $0.0854 to $0.0627, a loss of -26.53%. Volume rose modestly, up +16.77% to $35,514,357, a relatively light increase given the size of the price drop.
As always, these figures reflect a single 24-hour snapshot and past performance in no way guarantees what happens next. Coins that surged today can just as easily reverse, and those that fell sharply can recover just as fast. Anyone following these tokens should watch subsequent volume and price action closely rather than reacting to a single day’s move.
