Beniamin Mincu

Beniamin (additionally spelled Benjamin) Mincu is a Romanian tech entrepreneur and co-founder & CEO of Elrond. His brother Lucian Mincu and Lucian Todea are co-founders of Elrond. Mincu’s entrepreneurial activities have mostly been centered on blockchain and cryptocurrency, with Elrond being his latest assignment in the industry.

In line with his LinkedIn profile, Beniamin Mincu graduated from the Romanian-German University of Sibiu, with a Bachelor’s diploma in Economics and management in 2011.

In May 2014, Mincu assumed the position of a business, marketing, and network Lead at NEM.io basis – the first Smart Asset blockchain in the world.

In September 2016, Mincu co-based Metachain Capital – a virtual asset funding fund to assist ambitious groups and technologies in the blockchain enterprise. Mincu served as Metachain Capital’s CEO till December 2017.

In September 2017, Mincu co-based Elrond network – which the Elrond team hails as: An entirely scalable, fast, and secure blockchain platform for allotted apps, company use instances, and the new internet financial system.

The technical paper detailing Elrond’s inner workings was launched in Q2 2018, while the platform itself was released in prototype form in Q3 2018. Over the following years, the platform would go through a series of updates, check launches, and acquire numerous extra capabilities, such as the DeFi (Decentralized Finance) 2.0 module with liquidity pools, computerized swaps, borrowing, lending, and synthetic belongings.
