Barry Silbert

Barry Silbert is the Founder and CEO of Digital Currency Group, an international company that builds, buys, and invests in blockchain and Bitcoin businesses everywhere. DCG is the parent organization of Grayscale Investments (the most significant digital currency asset supervisor with ~$2 billion in AUM), Genesis Trading (the most extensive regulated crypto buying and selling and lending firm), and CoinDesk (the preeminent media and activities agency in the world).

A pioneer in Bitcoin investing, Barry started buying Bitcoin in 2012 and quickly established himself as one of the industry’s earliest and most active buyers. Earlier than leading DCG, Barry was the founder and CEO of SecondMarket, a project-backed technology agency received via Nasdaq. Barry has obtained several awards and accolades for his management, such as being named Entrepreneur of the year via Ernst & Young and Crain‘s and being chosen to Fortune‘s prestigious “40 underneath 40” listing. Before turning into an entrepreneur, Barry worked as a funding banker in New York. He graduated with honors from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.
